We are tremendously proud to offer for sale at our Saint Louis Showroom the first 1948 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible that we've ever had in our inventory. After full restoration with modernizations in 2006, this classic has only accumulated 21,484 miles. Her jet-black beauty with tan leather interior courts the attention of everyone who dares to lay their eyes upon. If Medusa had such demanding allure as this Oldsmobile 98, all the Greeks god would have turned to stone. This restoration represents the first year of the Third Generation (1948–1953) of the 1948 Oldsmobile 98 of which 65,235 were sold. This Generation drew heavily from the Futuramic styling concept that would be used on all 1949 Oldsmobiles. One of the reasons for you to be as excited about this rare gem as we are is because of what is underneath the hood, where you will find a Ram Jet 502 Engine (Chevy Big-Block V-8) that has a maximum Recommended rpm of 5800. It also comes equipped with 11-inch drilled and slotted Power Disk Brakes, Auto Meter Gauges, three-inch stainless-steel exhaust cut through the bumpers, and turn signals also set in the bumper guards. Inside you will find all the creature comforts that make driving this girl easy and fun; such as Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Keyless Entry, Tan Leather Seats from a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado, and an AM/FM Cassette/CD Player. The top is without blemish and transitions smoothly into its convertible position. The interior and exterior are both in awesome condition - without a noticeable scratch, dent, tear, stain, or odor. This beauty is ready to drive fast and win car shows on day one, and with very few of these still available, they also make for a great investment in your portfolio. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1948 Oldsmobile 98 by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 400 CID V8Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 300 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars Philadelphia offers this exquisite this striking 1966 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 at our showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! With competition coming from all directions, Oldsmobile came out strong with the introduction of the 4-4-2! While it was a worthy competitor, the 4-4-2 fell short of cubic inches and the straight-line performance seen in cars like the GTO and Chevelle. To answer the call, Oldsmobile prepared a new 400 engine in 1965 and revamped the 4-4-2 package with simulated rear fender scoops and colorful 4-4-2 badges. Thanks to these changes, Oldsmobile saw significant success in their sales and were looking forward to the 1966 model year. This superb 4-4-2 is perhaps one of the nicest examples of the treasured muscle car from 1966 and appears just as it did from the showroom! This beauty received the full treatment with a frame off restoration including the glass being replaced and coded, black interior totally redone and all suspension components rebuilt! Painted in stunning silver metallic, the car has a beautiful finish and it is heavily emphasized with the mirror-finish chrome and brightwork that was all restored! Powering this incredible machine is the numbers matching 400 CID V8, rebuilt 300 miles ago, equipped with the legendary Track Pac, an over-the-counter Tri-Carb conversion kit that boosted power from 350 to 360 horsepower! Perhaps the coolest part of the engine bay is the Outside Air Induction package (OAI). The OAI features dual air scoops that are incorporated in the front bumpers which interestingly forced the relocation of the front turn-signals. To make room for the scoops, the factory moved the turn signals in about a foot! You won’t see this on your average Olds! This car really moves and you can feel the power as you shift through all four gears! From the handsome black bench seats to the clean trunk, this 4-4-2 means business and is ready for its next adventure. Call us today to learn more information and make this beauty yours! Additional features include rebuilt side-tachometer, brand new brake and fuel lines, seat belts, battery kill switch and Posi-rear with 4:11 gears. Engine: Flathead V8Transmission: Four Speed ManualMileage: 5,000 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this rare 1917 Oldsmobile Model 45A for sale in our Arizona showroom. This blue with black fenders roadster is an early example of the innovative cars Oldsmobile was building after General Motors purchased the company from R.E. Olds in 1908. This well-preserved motorcar is a nice example of a rarely seen V8 model. The flathead V8 was certainly way ahead of its time. Ford wouldn't successfully produce a mass-production V8 until 1932, although some Lincoln models were so equipped in the 1920s. This car runs and drives like it did over a century ago. Settle into the black interior (and put your mother-in-law in the rear passenger compartment!) and motor around wherever you want to go. We'll guarantee you won't see another one at your local car show or cruise night. This rolling automotive history is sure to gather a crowd wherever you take it. All it needs is an enthusiastic new owner. Is that you? Let’s put this car in your home. Engine: 400 CIDTransmission: 3 Speed HurstMileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )
This beautiful numbers matching Royal Mist Blue 442 Convertible has been fully restored to her original glory with less than 1,000 miles on her since the rebuild! Grab hold of the 3 speed Hurst shifter and let loose the ponies inside the 400 V8. The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (also known as the 442) is a muscle car produced by Oldsmobile between the 1964 and 1980 model years. Introduced as an option package for US-sold F-85 and Cutlass models, it became a model in its own right from 1968 to 1971, spawned the formidable Hurst/Olds in 1968, then reverted to an option through the mid-1970s. The name was revived in the 1980s on the rear-wheel drive Cutlass Supreme and early 1990s as an option package for the new front-wheel drive Cutlass Calais. The "4-4-2" name (pronounced "Four-four-two") derives from the original car's four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts. It was originally written "4-4-2" (with badging showing hyphens between the numerals), and remained hyphenated throughout Oldsmobile's use of the designation. Beginning in 1965, the 4-4-2s standard transmission was a 3-speed manual along with optional 2 speed automatic or 4 speed manual, but were still badged as "4-4-2"s. By 1968 badging was shortened to simply "442", but Oldsmobile brochures and internal documents continued to use the "4-4-2" model designation. The 1966 4-4-2 shared a modest facelift with other Cutlasses. It came with a 400 CID L78 V8 rated at 350 HP 440 lb-ft with a single four-barrel carburetor. Two new optional 400 ci engines offered even higher performance: the 360 HP L69, with three two-barrel Rochester 2GC carburetors on a progressive linkage and 440 HP of torque, which was priced at US$264.54, and the rare W30. Engine: 455 CID V8Transmission: 400 TurboMileage: 25,267 ( actual )
Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this Pro-Street 1970 Oldsmobile 442 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 4-4-2 name derives from the original set up of the first car that debuted in 1964. The set up was just that a 4 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission and dual exhaust. Pretty much everything desired on your first generation muscle cars. Some people, even to this day, think that 442 is the cubic displacement of the motor but in all reality Oldsmobile never made a 442 CID motor. They did however make a 400 cubic inch big block and in 1965 it was the motor of choice for the Cutlass 442 cars. Now , being that you could get an automatic, the 4-4-2 stood for 400 CID, 4 barrell, dual exhaust. Sales would steadily rise through the first generations 4 year span topping out at a tad over 25000 units. The 1968 model year would see the 4-4-2 become its own model and not just an option any longer. This 70 is a great example of these timeless machines. With 25267 actual miles you can tell this beauty looks to be in great condition. This 442 comes with loads of paperwork including the original build sheet, window sticker, and protecto-plate. The silver with black stripes looks just like it did when it left the factory over 46 years ago. Pop the hood and the 400+ HP 455 cid motor looks right at home, especially with the Chrome Valve covers and air cleaner. Mated up to a turbo 400 this is one of the easiest driving big block muscle cars to drive. WIth the huge amount of torque being produced, these 442's were known for laying down some of the nastiest blackest burnout's that you have ever seen. Hence the reason this car was tubbed, so that a huge set of steam roller tires could be tucked up under the fenders. Options on this Pro Street 1970 Oldsmobile 442 include; AC, AM/FM radio with Cassette player, power steering, power brakes, black cloth interior, seat belts, polished aluminum alloy Wheels. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an awesome black on black 1967 Oldsmobile 442. Following the success of Pontiac's GTO, Oldsmobile began cramming big V-8s into mid-sized A-body hardtops, and the 442 was born. The 442 moniker represented 4-barrel V-8, 4-speed transmission, and dual exhaust. The 442 was initially offered on Oldsmobile's F85 and Cutlass trim's, in 1968 the 442 became its own model. Available in 2-door sports coupe, holiday hardtop coupe, and convertible. Powering this 67' 442 is a 455 CID V8 with an Edelbrock aluminum intake. The 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the 12-bolt rear end and to the pavement via the Radial T/As. Front and rear sway bars have been added to improve the handling of this big sports car as well. The black exterior paint features a black vinyl roof, and is accented with a dual red pinstripe, which also highlights the body line on the side of the car. The black vinyl interior features bucket seats and the beautiful 442 dash treatment. Raised white letter BF Goodrich Radial T/As sit on the Cragar rally wheels and provide a classic muscle car look. The odometer reads 1,405, which represents the mileage on the car since the restoration was complete. Options for this 1967 Oldsmobile 442 include: AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. This 67' 442 is a breeze to drive and has plenty of get up and go to put a smile on your face all day long. This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass W31 tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Cutlass was GM’s luxury performance car with the lines being similar to the Chevelle. This beauty has taken some ques from the W31 giving it a very similar appearance. The hood is probably the biggest difference with the two huge inductions on the fiberglass hood with the chrome hold downs giving it that true muscle car look. The trunk lid has a spoiler which were becoming very popular on these factory hotrods. Its sleek lines are as good as any factory Cutlass and should be since they are all original to the car. The body was in such good shape the owner decided it needed a fresh coat of the original Matador red paint which was only done 6 months ago. With those period correct stripes finishing off that classic look this iconic look it is probably the image that pops in your head when someone says 1970 Cutlass. Under the hood is the numbers matching 350 that runs extremely well. The mileage on the odometer is believed to be original making this Cutlass an even sweeter deal. The interior of the car is classic Cutlass with the black split bench upfront being extremely comfortable and great for cruising. Options on this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass include; AC, AM/FM/Cassette, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Radial Tires with Raised White Letters on a set of Rally Wheels.
