1970 Buick GSX
S O L D

1970 Buick GSX

Engine: 455 CI V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 85,707 ( undocumented )

If you’re looking for a rare and show-quality car, look no further than this 1970 Buick GSX! The Gran Sport name has been used by Buick to denote several high-performance cars since 1965. Since Cadillac did not present an offering during the muscle car era, the Buick models are considered the most well-appointed GM sports models of the day. In 1970, the 400cid engine was replaced by the new 455cid V8. The base model was rated at 350hp and 510 ft-lb of torque. The optional Stage-1 version was rated at 360hp and 510 lb-ft of torque at 2800 rpm. The Stage-1 engine used cylinder heads that were machined differently to accept larger valves and to produce a tighter compression ratio. The option also included a more aggressive camshaft, specially tuned Quadra jet carburetor, more aggressive ignition timing, 5/8” oil pickup tube and a higher numerical final drive. Also, in 1970, GM decided to step up yet another notch with the GSX high performance package. The GSX was Buicks’ answer to the Pontiac GTO Judge and was introduced relatively late in the 1970 model year. As a result, only 678 GSXs were produced that year and only 400 with the Stage 1 engine option. The impressive performance has become a legend unto its own and is partly due to the light weight of the 455 (150 lbs less than the 426 Hemi). The torque rating was also the highest output of any American production performance car, a record held for 33 years until finally surpassed by the V10 Viper in 2003. The 1970 Buick GSX came in 2 colors, Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, a full black interior, and has arguably the most extensive list of standard high-performance features of any classic era muscle car. We are thrilled to have this Yellow 1970 frame-off restored beauty in our Milwaukee showroom. The numbers-matching Stage-1 455 has been completely rebuilt and the owner states 1,100 miles since. The transmission was replaced with a rebuilt period correct Muncie M22 4-speed manual with 3.64 limited slip differential. This is a non-AC car and includes power steering and power brakes. Styling features unique to the GSX include a distinctive full body length black stripe crossing over the rear spoiler, hood mounted tachometer and black front spoiler. Also standard are black bucket seats, quick ratio steering, anti-sway bars front and rear and quad-link suspension. This 1970 GSX is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

1947 Buick Woody Wagon

1947 Buick Woody Wagon

Engine: 248 CID OHV Inline 8 Cylinder
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 36,791 ( undocumented )

The Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a super rare and 1947 Buick Woodie Wagon! While Buick’s postwar lineup was still based upon its prewar designs, the mildly revised 1946–1948 models garnered very strong public favor nonetheless. With the proven overhead valve Dynaflash straight eight, fully coil-sprung suspensions, and Harley Earl-supervised styling with fade-away front fenders, broad grilles, and remarkably restrained bright-trim accents, these cars remain collector staples today. During that era, the Series 50 Super Estate Wagon, with handsome Woodie bodywork by Michigan’s Ionia Manufacturing Company, topped Buick’s mid-tier offerings with a factory price of nearly $2,600. Just 2,036 of them, including five for export, were produced for 1947. This Woodie is a Series 50; Model 59, 110-hp, 248-cid OHV Dynaflash inline eight-cylinder engine with three-speed column-mounted manual transmission. The rarity of this vehicle in todays market makes this beautiful Buick a real gem. The history of this Buick has left its footprint in automotive history and will always be a high value vehicle. The wood accents on the vehicle are in pristine condition and have no splits and show very well. Every bit of this Buick screams nostalgia and has an unforgettable presence and it belongs in a museum or your very own private collection. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of automotive history. For more information on this Buick Woodie Wagon, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or call to speak with one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff 313-982-3100 or email us at Detroit@GatewayClassicCars.com.

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this mean 1950 Buick Riviera. Between the custom slammed look, and the massive powerplant, this beast is sure to be the center of attention at your local car show! Under and through the hood of this beauty is a big and healthy 496 CID big block crate motor thats paired with a Weiand Mega Blower. This powertrain combination provides this heavy car with the power and performance of a modern muscle car. Sending the power to the 9" Ford rear end is a turbo 400 automatic transmission that shifts firmly through the gears with no problems handling the almost 800 horsepower this engine generates. The meat that sends the power to the ground are Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires in 29x185x15LT. When it comes time to slow this big classic to a stop, the driver will appreciate the disc brakes up front. Moving inward, the interior of this slick ride is very plush and comfortable. The driver will immediately notice the multi-color leather seats, dash, and headliner that are all in very good condition. Adding to the comfort of this ride are power seats, power windows, power locks, power steering, and power brakes. Moving outward, the exterior of the car has a super mean vibe to it thanks to the canvas covered soft top along with some shaving of the body here and there. 1960 Buick LeSabre

1960 Buick LeSabre

Engine: 364 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 51,551 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa Is proud to be able to offer this sleek 1960 Buick LeSabre. This beautiful machine has only 51,551 miles on it and is ready to hit route 66 for a cross country cruise. The 1960 LeSabre received a major facelift, the new body design sharing only the roof and trunk lid with the 1959 model. The new Buick now sported a concave grille and horizontal headlights centered by Buick's then-new "Tri-Shield" logo, which is still in use today. Reintroduced to Electras and other Buicks for 1960 were the chrome "VentiPort" portholes first introduced in 1940 and last seen in 1957. LeSabre and Invicta models had three portholes while Electras and Electra 225s were "four-holers". Inside, a revised instrument panel featured a "Mirromatic" speedometer for which the lens could be adjusted to better visibility to suit the driver. A new two-spoke steering wheel with horn bars was introduced, replacing the time-honored horn ring then still common to most automobiles. The 250- and 300-horsepower 364-cubic-inch V8s were continued from 1959, but a new no-cost option was a 235-horsepower lower-compression two-barrel version of the 364 with a lower compression ratio to permit use of regular-grade gasoline instead of the premium fuel required with all other Buick engines. This Buick two door hard top is in fantastic shape inside and out. The crazy stylish red, black, and white interior is completely redone to feel fresh and in like new condition. Silver paint that shines in the sun with chrome all over the body makes this car very sharp and turns heads anywhere that it goes. The real fun is with the 3 on the tree manual transmission. This car starts right up and runs like a dream. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1960 Buick LeSabre two door hardtop, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. 1967 Buick GS 400

1967 Buick GS 400

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 77,539 ( undocumented )

This 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is special car as it carries the new generation V8 motor and sported the out of sight red "Star Wars" air cleaner! The entire GS package was coming together and forming its own identity instead of being an adjunct to the Skylark- Special series. Production of 1967 GS 400 convertibles was low to start with. Only about 2,140 cars in all forms. There were 9 three speed manual cars made and 422 four speed manual cars. Which leads us to our example finished in bright red. The white soft top looks incredible against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. The rich black inside against the shining red paint has the kind of bold and sophisticated presentation you want from a Buick GS. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome GS 400 badges on the door panels, to the Buick crest sitting below the dash. Under the hood this car proudly shows off the 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. After all, this big block V8 with the four-barrel carburetor has an unmistakably powerful rumble from the dual exhaust. And being equipped with the one wire ignition means this is one of the more reliable cars you can get your hands on from this era. You can view this 1967 Buick GS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1987 Buick Regal Grand National

1987 Buick Regal Grand National

Engine: 3.8L V6 F OHV
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 69,199 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this mean 1987 Buick Regal Grand National "GNX Tribute". The Regal Turbo was a popular street beast of the late 80’s, with only around 7900 produced and was the intro to the GNX series that came about with its limited production of 547 built. This Regal is a full-on tribute to the GNX, and mechanically serves it justice. Powering this machine is a custom-built 3.8L V6, built by Weber Power Products, paired to a pro-built 200R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a 2800RPM Stall, built by Ted's Transmissions. The engine features a set of Champion Racing heads with 1.65-inch intake and exhaust (custom ported and assembled by Otto's Performance), Diamond Pistons, Forged Rods, Coated cam, rod, and main bearings, align honed block, reciprocating assembly balanced, all ARP fasteners, and it also sports Methanol Injection. Looking under the hood, you will find that the turbo features a larger heat shield to accommodate the much larger than stock turbo and exhaust, along with an adjustable boost popoff control. Properly tuned at 21 PSI, this mill put down 501RWHP and 480.7TQ at the wheels (Dyno sheets from PowerFab Autosports available). This Regal took the tribute to the next level by even having the upgraded GNX rear end, which was put only on GNXs, due to the high HP and TQ. This special ordered feature makes this Regal hard to separate it from a true GNX. Also included are new tubular upper front control arms, custom lower control arms, all new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and pitman arm. When you fire this turbo beast up, initially all you hear is that muffled Buick Turbo V6, with maybe just a little lope from its custom-ground cam; but otherwise, if you had your eyes closed, you wouldn't know what a nasty competitor this is. Depress the hidden switch for the electric exhaust cutouts, and things get interesting, with the addition of the crackle and pop that these mega-boosted Buick Turbos were famous for. When you're ready, lift up the B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter, pull back to drive, and ratchet back to first...get staged for your burnout, and watch those fat Hoosier Drag radials go up in smoke (and your friends can watch the car disappear in the cloud, too)! You'll know this isn't a regular Turbo Buick when you light it up. Outside, the gloss Lamp Black finish was applied to the exterior by Stroble&Twigg Auto Restoration, after removing all paint on exterior sheet metal to the bare metal, using a 2-stage Epoxy finish in the proper 19U GM paint code. Weather stripping and seals were all replaced at the time as well; so, this car is almost like new! The interior was also treated to the "replace everything to original" strategy, and is in very good condition, with a new headliner, new seats up front, new rear seat upholstery, new door panels, and new console. The gauge cluster is complete with a GNX repro Stewart-Warner GNX cluster, and the speedo has been calibrated for the new gauge cluster installation. Additional features include Air Conditioning, Antilock Power Brakes, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD Radio, Performance Tires, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, and Seat Belts. 1935 Buick Series 40

1935 Buick Series 40

Engine: 383 Stroker
Transmission: T10 Richmond 4 Speed
Mileage: 100 ( since rebuilt )

This awesome one-off custom 1935 Buick Series 40 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Streetrods have been a staple in the car for world for an extremely long time. This Streetrod has been customized to a degree that is sure to make the next owner proud to call it their own. Starting with smoothing the body by removing the bumpers the car began to take shape. The opera windows were closed off with a custom skull carved into a piece of sheet metal which was laid on top. Turn on the red LED behind it and watch as it comes to life. The skull theme is carried on into the grill which is one of the neatest pieces I have seen. The red lights behind it illuminate it and help to showoff how much detail went into this build. Even the side marker lights have been cut out into skulls, but the best has to be the custom hood ornament with its little red eyes glowing at you. The body has been sitting back on the original frame which was cleaned up for a nicer look. The front end has been switched out to a more modern Mustang II style giving it a better ride. The rear end is courtesy of a S10 with the ladder bar suspension helping to plant all the power to the ground. Speaking of power, the 383 stroker under that hood is enough to wake the dead. Consisting of Procomp Aluminum Heads, a Holley 750 Double Pumper, and HEI Distributor this is one rowdy small block. An aluminum dress up kit makes it look good while Hedman Headers take care of the exhaust. The Richmond 4 speed makes this rod, a blast to drive and something not seen in too many of them. Open the doors and you will notice it’s a clear shot straight through with no B pillar to obstruct the view. With reinforcements added you don’t have to worry about the body beginning to sag over time. The front seats are out of a 95 Mustang and have been recovered to match the rest of the car. Although it appears to have manual windows hit the handle down or up and the power window moves accordingly. If you have been looking for a great custom streetrod that is sure to grab everyone’s attention this 35 Series Buick is the one. Options on this 1935 Buick Series 40 include; Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Seat, Manual Convertible Top, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. 1984 Buick Grand National

1984 Buick Grand National

Engine: 3.8L V6
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 34,801 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this rare 1984 Buick Grand National. By the late 1980’s, the muscle car era was done. The gas crisis caused the end of high horsepower V8s and the few domestic muscle cars that remained were so strangled with emissions equipment, that the horsepower ratings were embarrassing. Even the Corvettes of the late 1980’s barely squeaked over 200 horsepower. GM made a step in the right direction with their revolutionary Turbocharged V6 Grand National. This 3.8 Liter gem, with the help of its turbocharger churns out 245 horsepower and a massive 355 lb. ft of torque. This torque monster could rocket the 3500-pound GN to 60 miles per hour in less than 6 seconds and on to finish a 1/4 mile in about 14 seconds. Finished in a sinister gloss black exterior paint, and with gray and black two-tone interior, the GN is a sharp looking beast as well. This one is in great shape and will turn heads wherever you go. Whether you're a Buick fan, a muscle car historian, or simply a fan of performance cars, a Grand Nation makes a great addition to any collection. This 1984 Buick Grand National is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
