2014 Ford Mustang Boss 302S #28

2014 Ford Mustang Boss 302S #28

Engine: 302 DOHC CID V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 37 ( actual )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 2014 Ford Mustang Boss 302S. Most auto enthusiasts know that Ford offered its modern rendition of the Boss 302 Mustang during the 2012 and 2013 model years. But less known is the fact that the race-bred Boss 302S continued as a 2014 model. Offered through Ford Racing, only 50 were built as turn-key, factory-built race cars. They would be the last of the modern Boss 302s. Designed for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes, every 2014 Boss 302S Mustang started life as a body-in-white before delivery to Watson Racing for completion as a track-only vehicle. At Watson, the Boss 302S was equipped with its 5.0-liter Boss 302 engine optimized with racing calibration, T-6060 6-speed transmission, and a Torsen TR2 differential with 3.73:1 gears. Suspension upgrades included 3-way adjustable dampers, caster/camber plates, Ford Racing adjustable sway bars, and tubular lower control arms with extended ball joints and a Derlin bushing kit. Externally, the limited-edition Boss 302S was prepared for competition with a carbon-fiber front splitter, fiberglass hood with air extractors, an adjustable rear wing, and 19-inch wheels. Competition prep also included a quick-release steering wheel, duct kit to cool the Brembo 4-piston brakes, FIA-spec 6-point roll cage, front and rear tow hooks, switch plate with start/ignition, fire-suppression system, window net, master cut-off switch, and 6-point safety harness. In other words, the Boss 302 S was built as a race-ready Mustang from the factory. A red “S” within the traditional Boss 302 hockey-stick stripes identified the special track-ready model. This Boss 302 S is number 28 of the 50 produced for 2014. In addition to the standard competition components, it is also equipped with the optional Recaro XL driver’s seat and Satin Black paint, a $5,995 option. To view this 2014 Ford Mustang Boss 302S in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Restomod

1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Restomod

Engine: 398 CID V8 Stroker
Transmission: Tremec 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,518 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a unicorn of sorts. This one though is quite a unique unicorn. In fact if you Google “Blue Eleanor” this car is what you will find. A 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that started life as a 390 CID car, many many hands were involved in making this dream a reality. The body work was done by Desert Mustangs in Scottsdale AZ. She has made the circuits and was sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2006 and then underwent many thousands of dollars worth of work on the drivetrain to make this monster work in real life. So now the engine is a fully built bored and stroked 398 CID V8 that started as a 351 Cleveland. All of the supporting parts are top notch and support the 575 horsepower this engine creates. There are some cool tricks too. The custom exhaust is very muted until you flip the switch on the center console that opens the exhaust, the car then sings a very different tune. The neighbors will not be very happy with you running through the neighborhood banging through the T56 six speed transmission. All of this is backed by a Ford 9 inch rear differential with 3.89:1 gears and locking differential. No she isn’t a one trick pony either, ac makes driving in any area or time of year comfortable, power steering and power brakes make it all buttery smooth for driving. And please don’t think she is just a show pony either, she did 167 mph in a half mile runway race recently. For all of this shock and awe this is a well sorted car with just the right options that include AC, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels. 1967 Chevrolet C10

1967 Chevrolet C10

Engine: LSX 427 CU IN V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,387 ( since rebuilt )

Looking for a classic truck and handles like a high performance super car? Look no further than this showstopping 1967 Chevrolet C10! Featuring a Roadster shop powder coated frame underneath the C10 body this truck sits low and handles like it’s on rails. Lurking under that patina hood sits an absolute animal of an engine. A brand-new methanol-injected 427 LSX crate engine that has had a Whipple supercharger fitted to the top and is transferring over 750 horsepower to the rear wheels! The T-56 RPM transmission with a McLeod twin disc clutch was built to handle all that power and provides smooth crisp shifts between each gear change without giving you a sore left leg while driving longer distances. Putting the power to the ground is a Ford 9” rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gears and was built to plant all of that power. Bringing this truck to a stop just as quickly is a massive set of Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners; 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston in the rear grab hard do the trick just fine. This truck isn’t just built performance though, look inside and you will find a jaw-dropping leather interior done by Sid Chavers that will rival the high end super cars as well! The Tan leather is not only beautiful to look at but is extraordinarily comfortable and has been laid out in a way that feels very just right for a driving position. This fine leather interior interestingly enough matches the patinaed body very well! As you slide inside and fire up the LSX, put it into gear and start the drive, you will be amazed at how docile this truck feels when just cruising. However as soon as you roll into the throttle and the boost builds, hold on for dear life because you are going for a wild ride! This truck will throw you back in your seat quickly and provides a driving experience like nothing else. Don’t be fooled by the C10 body sitting on top of the well-engineered chassis and drivetrain, this truck means business and will keep you entertained every time you drive it! 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 565 CID V8 Supercharged
Transmission: 4 Speed Muncie
Mileage: 50 ( since rebuilt )

Thank you for taking a look at this beautifully restored 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS presented by Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa. This real deal true SS is stunning and is more than ready to blow the doors off and definitely has the looks to kill. This car has been professional done and has only 50 miles on it since the restoration was complete. The car is painted in a stunning red metallic paint job and trimmed in SS badges and Chevrolet flags. Coming out of the hood of this beast is a big bad 565 Big Block Chevy Supercharged engine with Dart block Cat 4.25 stroke Crankshaft H Beam. This engine is bad to the bone, it's been built with a crane camshaft, harden pushrods, pro top heads, stainless steel valves , Milodon Oil pan, Barry Grant Blower Carbs, polished 871 Blower and Hillborn style scoop! There are so many goodies under the hood of the beast and you can tell no expense was missed. The big block is then been linked up with a 4 speed Saginaw transmission with a posi-trac rear end. They then fitted the car with a 1969 Hydroboost disc brake setup to make sure you can stop all the power this engine is pushing out. When the car was last on the dyno it tested out at blistering 750 horsepower to the fly wheel. The interior in this stunning car is none other than a SS rally dash package with summit and pro-comp gauges and is trimmed in a very nice custom red and gray tweed top to bottom. This beautifully restored 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is equipped with AM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial tires on Aluminum Alloy Wheels. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro Street

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro Street

Engine: 468 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Pro Street is a style of street-legal custom car built to appear more at home on the drag strip than on the street, while remaining legal to operate and not “gutted” like a bracket race car. Vehicles of this type often show highly modified, large capacity V8 engines up front, but keep a stock interior floor plan, windshield wipers, carpet and working lights. This fantastic, award-winning 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan is the best of the best. Featuring a 468 cid big block, 4-bolt main power plant topped by a Dyers 871 blower, this beast is all business. Additional build features include aluminum heads, MSD ignition, steel crank, h-beam rods and a blow-proof bell housing. All this power is mated to a turbo 400 transmission with a manual valve body and 9-inch Ford rear end. The center section is a Curry 4-link coil/over suspension. The quality does not stop there as the interior is beautifully done in tan leather with a custom-made dash and console. 19.5 inch Micky Thompson wheels finish off a truly gorgeous package that needs to be seen (and heard…) to be fully appreciated. This 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan Pro Street is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this impressive vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Race Car

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Race Car

Engine: 540 CID Reher-Morrison V8
Transmission: BTE Powerglide
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this Jerry Bickel-built 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air race car. If you've always wanted a real race car that was built by one of the legends in NHRA racing, but you were afraid to ask, "how much?", we have the car for you. Originally brought to the track by Don Gray Trucking as the "Torture II", with its U.S. Body-supplied '55 Sedan Race Body Shell. Built by Jerry Bickel Race Cars, Inc. in 1995, this is one legend that has stood the test of time and looks better than it did when it was first completed. Smothered in a gorgeous Tangelo Pearl finish, with very subtle flame work that starts on the hood and continues down the front flanks, this is one sweet-looking hot ride. But don't let the looks fool you - this car is one thing, and that's "all business". Sporting a Reher-Morrison 540 CID big block Chevy V8 with its Williams Carburetors-built race carb, backed by a custom BTE Powerglide transmission, this car is set up to let you make fools out of your bracket racing competition. With an air throttle and throttle stop, you can run extremely consistent times. With its 2016 NHRA-certified chassis (s/n A071910) good for 7.50 and slower E/Ts, this car is virtually turn-key ready for the track. From the full tubular chassis and integrated roll cage, to a Dzus fastener-laden body and interior panels, you can tell that this car is built for the track. The snorkel scoop-laden front clip comes completely off, allowing for full access to everything in the engine bay. Whether you need access to steering componentry, the engine, or the front coil-over drag suspension, there's virtually nothing that needs working on that can't be accessed easily. The massive mill is braced by a torque plate at the front, enabling it to become an integral part of the fully reinforced tubular race chassis, with it multiple-link adjustable rear, ensuring that this beast stays straight and true from launch to run-out at the top. The electric water pump, massive aluminum radiator with electric fan, and trans cooler help ensure that everything stays within optimum operating temps during each run. Further equipped with Mark Williams Hi-Torque axles, Lamb multi-piece rotors and Lamb racing calipers, multi-piece Weld Drag wheels at all four corners, Hoosier skinnies up front, massive Hoosier wrinkle wall slicks out back, and wheelie bars, this car says, "get me to the track, baby!" from as far away as you can see it. Under the hood is that gigantic 540 CID Reher-Morrison big block Chevy V8, with its Williams Carburetors carb and custom-fabbed race headers. When this beast lights off, no one will be able to keep from snapping their head toward the noise to see what's causing the thunder. A full competition-approved fuel cell and the twin trunk-mounted Optima batteries are easy to get to by removing the Dzus-fastened trunk, and more Dzus fasteners allow easy access to key driveline components normally covered by the floor pan. A fully adjustable rear spoiler sits atop the aft edge of the deck lid and allows custom tuning of downforce (and therefore ETs). FYI, those dual Optima batteries help ensure that everyone can see your working HID headlights and taillights during those ultra-high-speed night racing runs (in addition to their normal duty, of course). Out back, a purpose-built Mark Williams complete 3rd member setup serves as part of a fully adjustable multi-link rear suspension, with Drag Coil-over shocks and wheelie bar, which serve to keep the rear end planted and the front end out of the sky at launch. Inside, the driver has all controls within easy reach, and fingertip controls make it easy, with the Jerry Bickel wiring setup and control panel being reachable even when the driver is fully belted into the Kirkey racing bucket with the massive Simpson race harness. This race car is ready to hit the strip with no excuses, and is ready for the pit crew between passes, with its abundant Dzus fasteners providing easy on/off of its front clip and trunk. A full set of gauges help the driver keep track of critical functions, and a removable steering wheel helps for easier ingress/egress before and after your hot passes. If you're looking for a turn-key 8 second drag car, this is the one you want. This is a race only vehicle and does not come with a title. 2014 Ford Mustang GT500

2014 Ford Mustang GT500

Engine: Supercharged 5.8L V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,086 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a bad to the bone 2014 Ford Mustang GT500. New for the 2013 model year, was a first for Ford: a 200+ MPH Mustang. These GT500s compete with exotics 5 times the price and are as simple to maintain as your F150 or Focus. Pop the hood to find a 5.8 Liter Supercharged V8 which churns out an asphalt shredding 662 Horsepower. With all of this power, in 5th gear, the car can achieve 202 MPH; if you’re brave enough to go there. To handle all of this power, it has a beefy Tremec TR-6060 and a heavy duty dual disc cutch. To save weight, rotating mass, and increase strength, the driveshaft is made of carbon fiber. Handling was not forgotten on this powerful beast. Bilstein shocks, and Goodyear Eagle Supercar G:2 tires keep the machine attached to the road even in the tightest corners. Massive Brembo brakes in all four corners bring everything to a halt including 15” front rotors with 6 piston calipers. This particular example, is almost like looking at a new one. With only 1,086 miles on the odometer, it is hardly broken in. With black exterior and black and red two tone interior, it looks fantastic, and is certainly show ready. You can see this 2014 Ford Mustang GT500 in greater detail in our Dallas showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

1966 Plymouth Belvedere

1966 Plymouth Belvedere

Engine: 572 HEMI
Transmission: 727 John Cope
Mileage: 14,958 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1966 Plymouth Belvedere Nostalgia Super Stock. Nostalgia Super Stock is a category of drag racing that recreates the glory days of the 60’s. Starting back in the mid 80’s there were quite a few guys beginning to revive the spirit of the original era which led to the class being formed. This 66 is a fitting example of what these cars are all about. No fancy ECU’s collecting data for the next hit or controlling spark and fuel mixtures on this beast. Just plain and simple raw power with the driver trying to get it to the ground. This 66 was a great car when started with the body in an excellent condition the attention was directed to the heart of the MOPAR. Built by Muscle Motors in Lansing MI, the 572 CI HEMI is a force to be contended with. Putting out a ground shaking 800 HP standing next to this behemoth at idle is something every gearhead needs to experience. With those massive Hemi heads taking up so much space it takes a couple looks to figure out how that got so much engine under that hood. With the cross-ram intake sitting on top getting enough fuel to this animal is the least of your worries. Built by John Cope the reverse manual valve body 727 trans is exactly what you would expect in such a build. Getting power to the ground is the bullet proof Dana 60 rear end which has been filled with a set of Moser 40 splined axles. The 4.56 gear set will get this MOPAR down the ¼ mile perfectly. The cage has been certified and meets the NHRA standards for nostalgia super stock with the fit being one of the best I have seen. The Gary Ball Super Stock interior is clean and what should be in the car keeping it as close to the real deal as possible. With a build expense into the 6 figures and only 20 passes on the car this would be an excellent way to get into one of the most competitive and coolest classes of drag racing there is. Options on this 1966 Plymouth Belvedere Nostalgia Super Stock include, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Bias Ply Drag Tires on the rear and Radial tires on the front. This 1966 Plymouth Belvedere is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1973 Chevrolet Camaro LSX

1973 Chevrolet Camaro LSX

Engine: 6.0L Fuel Injected LS2 V8
Transmission: Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,260 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this knockout restomod 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. A little over 3 years ago, this car was pulled from a barn and became the subject of a full frame off restoration and modification, with a major emphasis on the modification. The most obvious modifications are the custom wide body kit that allows this 2nd Gen Camaro to tuck 335 cross section tires out back, and 315s up front wrapped around custom E/T wheels. Of course, big sticky tires are only as good as the suspension holding everything else in place. That is why there is Detroit Speed suspension in the front and back to hold everything else in place. To handle bringing things to a quick halt, we have a full Willwood brake system, including 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake calipers. You are going to need those brakes too, as this car’s real party trick lies under the carbon fiber hood. There you will find a fire spitting 6.0L LS motor that has been stroked with new rods and pistons, dart heads, and dyno tuned to make 427hp and 427 lb-ft. of torque. Those massive tires are starting to make some more sense. Backing up that fuel injected beast is a Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed manual, spinning 390 Truetrac gears in a Ford 9” rear end. Inside, you could call this car a mullet, as it is all business in the front, with the party coming from two 10” kicker subwoofers in a custom enclosure that has replaced the rear seat. Upfront is all business, with Cipher race bucket seats and 4 point harnesses, as well as a half cage painted to match. Other great little touches include a carbon fiber spoiler and trunk lid, kindigit door handles, A/C, power steering, and keyless ignition. Get yourself in this Camaro and go! 1979 Chevrolet Malibu

1979 Chevrolet Malibu

Engine: 496 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 67 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely wild 1979 Chevrolet Malibu. This Malibu is a far cry from the standard grocery-getter that Chevy was stamping out by the thousands. Powering this monster is a 454 big block V8 stroked out to 496 cubic inches backed up to a beefy TH-400 transmission sandwiching a 5000rpm stall converter. The 496 is spinning an Eagle 4340 crankshaft with Eagle H-beam rods topped with SRP 13.5:1 pistons. A pair of Pro Comp Aluminum ported heads round out the long block for a very healthy amount of power on tap. Taking care of getting air and fuel in the engine is a Victor JR intake and a 950 CFM Holley Carburetor. A custom set of Lemons Headers spew the exhaust fumes through a pair of Spintech mufflers for the sound of a beautifully orchestrated chaos. While all of that power makes for killer sound and plenty of tire smoke, there’s more to going fast than just having power; it needs to be effectively put to the pavement. With SPC upper control arms and TRZ lower control arms working in tandem with Qa1 adjustable coil overs, this Malibu grips and rips. A Moser 12-bolt packed fill with 4.10 gears and 30-spline axles resides out back, more than capable of handling the powerplant. A custom frame was fabricated with a 4-link suspension set up to keep the Moser properly located. Making sure the body and frame stay as solid as possible, a 10-point roll cage was installed and painted black to blend in with the gorgeous interior. The two-tone gray paint with the red stripe absolutely pops under the sun. The paint looks deep enough that you could take a dive in it and never come back out. The color scheme is tied through the seats in the interior making for a very complete and well thought out design. The seats were custom redone to match the paint! A switch panel is mounted in the redesigned dash to give the driver total control over all of the electronics of the vehicle, while a master disconnect can set the Malibu in hibernation for any extended downtime. Plenty of custom work is massaged into all aspects of this vehicle, and the hard work really paid off making for an extremely well-finished vehicle. This 1979 Chevrolet Malibu is a very well put together car and should fill your trophy case with ease after only a few shows. Options include: Power Steering, Tilt Steering Wheel, Leather Interior, Kill Switch, Alloy Wheels, and a Posi Traction Rear Axle. For more information on this one of a kind 1979 Chevrolet Malibu, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Nashville show room is this mean Pro Street 1934 Chevy Coupe. If Darth Vader drove a hot rod, this would be it. Not unlike the death star, this chariot was built with only one goal in mind… total street domination! Sporting a sinister piano black paint job and black leather interior, this car looks every bit as intimidating as it should be. Under the hood you have an explosive 383 stroker small block chevy and 350 turbo transmission at your command, ready to unleash a win at the drop of the hammer. With that being said, you can still put this ride on the highway in its current setup with 3.90 gears in the rear. Sitting on massive tires in the rear and skinnies up front, you won’t be able to hide the purpose of this monster. The fuel cell is tucked away in the trunk. 1963 Dodge 330 Max Wedge

Engine: 426 Max Wedge Stroked to 440
Transmission: 727 Torque Flite
Mileage: 100 ( since rebuilt )

This awesome 1963 Dodge 330 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 330 was Dodge’s full-size car for 62-64 and was based on the B-body. Available with anything from the slant six to the monstrous 426 there was a 330 to fit anyone’s needs. The one that garnered the most attention was of course the Max Wedge. A monstrous 426 cubic with a cross ram style intake and 2 4 barrels sitting on top it was intimidating just to look at. Made in very limited numbers they are prized and sought after today. This beauty is one of those sought-after cars making it an extremely rare find. The engine powering this full on drag car is a 440 with wedge heads and that sought after cross ram intake. Built using a 1967 440 Block this engine is putting out quite a bit more power than the original one. The 426 Ramcharger heads have been worked over giving this beast an unbelievable amount of torque. The 727 Torque flight transmission has been built to handle all that power and still retains the push button transmission. The Dana 60 rear end has been stuffed with a set of 5.13 gears allowing for unbelievable off the line acceleration. With the spool locking up both axles this car was built to go straight. The huge 32 15 Goodyear slicks are exactly what you need to get this monster to hook up. The car has had one repaint back to its original red color and even though it was 40 years ago it still shows very well. The fiberglass rear bumper helps to shave some weight off while retaining the factory look. Inside is what you would expect in a drag car with just a seat for the driver. The cage while built for safety also makes the car more ridged. The Lexan windows are fixed in place and help to shave weight. If you are looking for a nostalgic drag car this Max Wedge 330 is just that. Options on this 1963 Dodge 330 include, Seat Belt, Vinyl Interior, and Racing Wheels with Skinny’s on the front and Drag Slicks on the back. The Ford Racing Mustang FR500 is a highly tuned race variant of the Ford Mustang, featuring a V8 engine. These are turn key race cars not designed for public road use. Engine: 496 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 3,451 ( since rebuilt )

This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 2nd generation Camaro was a huge success for GM running a total of 11 years. The fastback body design with its huge rear glass was a far cry from the 1ST Generation. This beautiful Silver with Black stripes split bumper actually began life as a SS396 which is super cool. The 396 has been replaced with a monster 496 that was built with one thing in mind, going fast in a straight line! The Brodix heads are made out of aluminum with many saying they are the best in the business. The huge aluminum radiator keeps everything at the perfect operating temperature with dual electric fans giving you that extra vote of confidence. The 1050 CFM Quick Fuel Dominator carb feeds this animal the high-octane gas it needs. If that’s not enough power for you hit the button on the fogger system and hold on for dear life. The TH350 Transmission was built to handle all that power with a trans brake allowing for true off the line hole shots. The Moser 10 bolt rear end has 3.89 Moser axles allowing for off the line acceleration while pulling hard through all 3 gears. With all that power propelling this beauty the brakes need to be just as good. The 4-wheel disc set up with its Wilwood master cylinder is exactly what this thing needed. Of course, going fast is fun but why not look good while doing it? The paint on the car is slick with a great shine while that fiberglass cowl hood ties in perfectly to the build. The RS front clip looks great but there is no way to tell if it came from the factory or not. Open the doors and you will see an interior that is very tasteful. The roll cage was done to keep you safe while still allowing for plenty of room. The front buckets are comfortable and look right at home with the racing harnesses keeping you right where you need to be. The ratchet style shifter is just where you want it allowing for quick shifts with a simple slap. Normally when cars like this are built you get either a car that looks great but lacks in the performance department or vice versa. Why not get this one and have a beautiful car that performs like it looks? Options on this 1972 Camaro include, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Billet Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1971 Altered Dragster

1971 Altered Dragster

Engine: 440 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this one of a kind 1971 Altered Dragster. Powered by a 440 cubic inch big block V8 set up in front of the driver and paired with a TH400 automatic transmission, this baby hauls! This Dragster is well known in the Chicago area, as hit has been raced at several active and not defunct drag strips in the surrounding areas. While the bones of this dragster have remained the same over the years, some changes were made for long-term reliability, safety of the driver, and to stay competitive with other vintage racers. Most recently, the 440 V8 was completely gone through prepared for a full season with about 10 test passes on it to work out any last-minute bugs. The 440 started life as a 427, and was bored a very healthy .100” to pump up displacement. Helping take advantage of those extra cupes is a set of easy breathing Dart Pro 1 heads, a roller cam, and a massive 1050 Dominator carburetor. While a big engine is very important for making successful passes, any real racer knows the rest of the drivetrain is arguably even more important. This dragster has had the full treatment, including a 9” converter from Coan, a brand new TH400 transmission with a trans-brake, and a full Mark Williams 9” rear axle assembly sporting 4.10 gears. With consistent runs in the low 9 second range at over 150mph in the ¼ mile, the seller is confident that a high 8 second pass is attainable in good or better conditions. This classic dragster is ready to run as it sits, of put your own custom touches on this beast and make it your own! This vehicle does NOT have a title, and cannot be driven on any road legally. It is sold with a bill of sale only. For more information, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1969 Chevrolet Nova

1969 Chevrolet Nova

Engine:
Transmission:
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom, Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is pleased to present this custom-built 1969 Chevrolet Nova race car. Bathed in the well-known performance shade of Hugger Orange, this Nova is turn-key ready for the track. This car was built by Pyle Brothers in Baytown, TX, and the professional build quality is evident. From the full tubular chassis and integrated roll cage, one can easily spot a purpose-built drag car. Sporting a huge snorkel hood scoop, Strange Engineering high-torque axles, and Strange Engineering braking (multipiece slotted and drilled rotors front and rear, Strange multi-piston calipers front and rear), multi-piece Weld Drag wheels at all four corners, M/T skinnies up front, M/T 33x15.0x15 slicks out back, and wheelie bars, this car says "race-only baby!", even from a distance. Under the hood is a massive 490 CID big block Chevy V8 (built by Houston Engine and Balancing), sporting Dart heads and valve covers, an Edelbrock high-rise aluminum manifold, Holley race carb, and a gigantic deep sump oil pan. Uncapped race headers help route the spent combustion mix, which they do very effectively, and with tremendous sound and fury. Twin electric fans keep the radiator temp in check, and the electric water pump keeps the coolant flowing with no loss of power or cooling efficiency. A competition-prepped GM Powerglide 2-speed automatic handles the single gear change from tree to the finish line, and it'll take everything that 490 CID V8 can dish out, plus more. A full competition-approved fuel cell and the trunk-mounted Optima battery are easy to get to by removing the Dzus-fastened trunk, and more Dzus fasteners allow easy access to key driveline components normally covered by the floor pan. Out back, a Ford 9-inch rear end serves as part of a fully adjustable multi-link rear suspension with Drag Coil-over shocks and wheelie bar serve to keep the rear end planted and the front end out of the sky at launch. Inside, the driver has all controls within easy reach, and fingertip controls make it easy, with the Painless wiring setup and control panel being reachable even when the driver is fully belted into the Kirkey racing bucket with the massive Simpson race harness. This back-halved car is ready to hit the strip with no excuses, and is ready for the pit crew between passes, with its abundant Dzus fasteners providing easy on/off of hood and trunk. The chassis and cage are 2016 NHRA certified, with certification number A710909, for 8.50 and slower ET vehicles. A full set of gauges help the driver keep track of critical functions, and a removable steering wheel helps for easier ingress/egress before and after your hot passes. For night racing at the track, you'll like the fact that the headlights, taillights, and brake lights all work. If you're looking for a turn-key 9 second drag car, this is the one you want. This is a race only vehicle and does not come with a title. If you like low E.T.'s this is a great starting point.
