1971 BSA Thunderbolt

1971 BSA Thunderbolt

Engine: 650cc Twin
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 100 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very sharp 1971 BSA Thunderbolt. Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) produced motorcycles from their meager beginnings in 1910 all the way until 1972. This particular Thunderbolt is one of the last. The Thunderbolt utilizes an air cooled 654cc parallel twin cylinder engine with a single carburetor. This set up is good for 46 horsepower and will propel the bike over 100 MPH. It has a 4 speed manual transmission with the British shifter/brake pedal placement (brake left, shifter right). It uses large drum brakes both front and rear and chain drive. The overall riding experience is a delight and the 650 twin makes a sweet sound. The particular Thunderbolt has been treated to a loving frame off restoration less than 100 miles ago. Everything has been refinished or replaced and the result is simply, beautiful. It has been kept mostly original save for an upgraded Mikuni carburetor, an upgraded ignition system, and an optional tank from a Triumph. The original tank has been beautifully refinished as well for those that prefer an original look. The bike starts easily with the upgraded ignition and is ready to ride. Stand out from the crowd at the next bike night with this beauty. Don't miss out on this unique Thunderbolt. You can see this 1971 BSA Thunderbolt in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Mileage: 8,624 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1998 Harley Davidson FXDWG or Dyna Wide Glide. This 98’ Harley Wide Glide features a unique trike setup, that is likely added to assist with balancing the motorcycle while pulling a trailer. The balance assist could also help a new rider get used to the feel of a motorcycle, then removed when the rider is comfortable with going solo. The overall theme to this bike is Eagle wings and free spirits, as you can see eagles throughout the bike, and “Ride to Live, Live to Ride” on each mirror. A 1338cc or 81.64 CID V2 four stroke engine powers this Harley Wide Glide down the road and produces 56 horsepower. A 5-speed gearbox shifts the power to the rear wheel beautifully. 1979 Lincoln Mark V

1979 Lincoln Mark V

Engine: 400 V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 95,161 ( actual )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1979 Lincoln MK V. Lincolns from this era were known for their smooth ride. Most people that have owned one or even ridden in one will say that they glide down the highway with ease. This fine example is painted White over a blue cloth interior and rides on a new set of 17 inch wheels and tires. The miles are showing 95,161 but the interior shows as if the car has only 30,000 miles. Obviously this one has been very well cared for over the years. Recent work consists of a new exhaust system, new brakes, new shocks, new fuel tank, wheels and tires. Equipment was plentiful and included Power windows, Power door locks, Power seats, Power mirrors, Power smokers window, Cruise control, AM/FM radio with 8-track player and a Power moonroof. Power comes from the smooth running 400 cubic inch V8. The 460 was optional and did offer a few more ponies but would also have trouble passing up a filling station. The 400 is the way to go! Power is sent through the stout C6 3 speed automatic transmission and back to the rear end that is housing a set of highway gears making highway travel a bit easier. This Collector Series is an eye catcher of a car and newly added to the car is a set of 17 inch wheels shod with new radial rubber. The 17 inch tires have a shorter sidewall and offer a more modern feel to the road thanks to less flex from the sidewalls. For more information on this 1979 Lincoln MK V, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000. To view 100+ HD photos and video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.

1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

Engine: 5.0L V8
Transmission: Auto
Mileage: 25,788 ( actual )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a low mile 1981 Lincoln MKVI. This Bill Blass Edition Lincoln has covered an original 25,788 miles and is on its second owner. This is "the little old lady car to church on Sundays." The condition of this low mileage gem is near new and drives like it too. It’s obvious that this one has been garaged and stored in the winter away from any winter roads. Equipment is plentiful as it should for a Lincoln. Power seats, Power windows with power smoker's vent window, Power locks, Cruise control, Tilt steering wheel and leather. Power comes from an exceptionally smooth 302 V8 and shifts through an automatic transmission. The Designer Series such as the Bill Blass Edition demanded a premium and was one of the most expensive cars built in America. The Bill Blass Edition was accompanied by three more Designer Series; The Cartier Designer Series, The Givenchy Designer Series and the Pucci Designer Series. They all came with their own color scheme and sold well. This new series began in 1980 and came to an end in 1983. The smaller Lincoln equipped with the fuel injected 302, was Lincoln’s answer to the gas crisis. A light weight with a smaller appetite was just what the doctor ordered. The outgoing heavy MK V was far heavier and equipped with a 460 or a 351 V8 making for a gas tank that you couldn’t keep full. This was a short run when compared to other Lincolns, making for fewer collectible examples on today’s market. This may be the best one available. Don’t miss out! Engine: 500 CID 8.2L V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 74,379 ( actual )

Options for this 1972 Cadillac Eldorado include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and White Wall Radial Tires. The Eldorado was a personal luxury car that was produced by Cadillac from the model years 1953 to 2002. During its 50 year production that spanned 10 generations, its competitors ranged from the Lincoln Mark series to the Chrysler Imperial Crown Coupe. The name Eldorado is the combination of two Spanish words which translate to "the golden one." The seventh generation of the Eldorado ran from 1971 to 1978. In 1971 the Eldorado underwent many changes and upgrades. The overall length of the car grew 2 inches, but the wheel base grew 6 inches. Fender skirts returned and the rear quarter windows were removed. In their place were fixed "opera" styled windows that were intended to mask the widened C-pillar. Powering this big girl down the road is the numbers matching 8.2L 500 cubic inch monster V8 engine. The numbers matching 3 speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the front axle flawlessly. This Eldorado has received a recent spray of the original red metallic paint, as well as a new white vinyl roof. The original burgandy leather interior shows little wear, and matches the exterior color combination perfectly. This 72' Eldorado is sure to turn heads, whether it's on a Sunday cruise to church or to a car show across town. 1978 Chevrolet Corvette

1978 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: L-48 350 V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 48,145 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a Silver Anniversary Edition 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. Powering this 25th Anniversary Corvette is an L48 350 CID V8 with the 3 speed 350 automatic transmission in charge of transferring the power to the pavement. Options for this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Edition include: Air Conditioning (inoperable), AM/FM Radio, T-Tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Goodyear Eagle Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This 25th Anniversary Corvette features a two tone silver over gray exterior paint, which was an added cost of $399 to the sticker price, with all the anniversary emblems and badges. The black leather interior is in very good condition throughout. The Corvette received a much needed face lift in 1978. Due to the 25th anniversary year, all 1978 Corvettes received silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. The most notable change was the new fastback rear window. The fixed fastback rear window provided greater aerodynamics and more cargo/storage room behind the seat, not to mention better visibility in the rear of the vehicle. The Interior saw a few upgrades as well. The door panels were redesigned, and an actual glove box was added on the passenger side of the dash, which replaced the map pockets that were in the same position on previous models. The speedometer and the tachometer were redesigned to match the center console gauges that were introduced in 1977. Some new options were available in 1978 as well, power locks, dual rear speakers, power antenna, and a CB radio. This 78' Corvette has just 48,145 original miles on the odometer, and is ready for the new owner to put a few more on it. 1993 Ford Mustang LX
S O L D

1993 Ford Mustang LX

Engine: 5.0L V8
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 51,147 ( actual )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a well cared for low mile 1993 Ford Mustang 5.0. This Electric Red LX hatchback is showing an original 51,147 miles. It’s not too often we come across a low mileage example like this or an LX with leather power seats and a 5 speed. Modifications are mostly limited to suspension and exhaust. The exhaust consists of tubular headers and a pair of Flow Master mufflers for that great muscle car rumble. Suspension mods include caster and camber plates for the front, KYB shocks in the rear with a full length Panhard bar and welded in sub frame connectors. The menacing wheel and tire combo includes 275/35ZR18s up front and 295/35ZR18s out back. Both are BF Goodrich G Force high performance rubber mounted on aluminum 18 inch black five star wheels with polished lips and a bit of an offset for the rears for the extra wide rubber. Lurking behind the front wheels is a pair of drilled rotors to help dissipate heat. These specs give the idea that the car was setup more for corner carving than straight line drag racing. That's a lot of fun, especially with a five speed transmission. Inside you'll find gray leather power seats in great condition, cold blowing A/C and a booming aftermarket stereo and CD with a pair of subwoofers and an amplifier in the trunk. This was the last year for the Fox body Mustang and prices are on the rise. Now is the time and this is the car! 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula

Engine: 5.7L V8 F OHV
Transmission: 6-Speed Manual
Mileage: 72,810 ( actual )

The Gateway Classic Car Showroom in Saint Louis is happy to offer this fourth-generation Pontiac Firebird for sale. Originally designed by Pontiac from 1967 to 2002, this hot ride was designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang, and ended up also competing with the Chevrolet Camaro and Mercury Cougar that GM built on the same platform. The fourth-generation Firebird amplified the aerodynamic styling initiated by the previous generation. While the live rear axle and floorpan aft of the front seats remained largely the same, ninety percent of the Firebird's parts were all-new. Major improvements to this generationincluded standard dual airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, 16-inch wheels, rack-and-pinion power steering, short/long-arm front suspension, and several non-rusting composite body panels. This particular Firebird is powered by the most powerful engine from the fourth generation, which was the 5.7L V8. Additional features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Spare Tire, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Jack, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Power Mirrors, Seat Belts, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Posi Traction. Accomplishing this feat is a high performance clutch, lower stiffer springs by Eibach, adjustable camber/caster plates, and independent rear suspension with 3.31 rear gears and some sticky rubber. Adding to the menacing look of the Cobra is a set of aftermarket black wheels with polished lips and an '03-'04 Cobra front bumper and hood. 1979 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8 Crate Engine
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 61,265 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a gloss black 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. The gloss black paint was sprayed 5 years ago in a 2-stage enamel and clear application. The oyster in color cloth interior has been upgraded by way of black leather bolsters in the seats and woodgrain trim on the console. A rack and pinion steering setup and coil over shocks in the rear help this Corvette handle better than it did when new. A Crate 350 CID V8 was installed 6 years ago and runs strong! The V8 engine features alloy valve covers, Edlebrock aluminum intake, a Holley fuel injection setup, and a D.U.I. distributor. An aluminum radiator has been employed to keep this Crate 350 cool on hot days. A rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission was installed 3 years ago and shifts the power beautifully to the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) with 3.08 gears. The odometer reads 61,265, which represents the actual mileage on the car, and approximately 25,000 on the Crate V8 engine. Options for this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Dropping a more powerful V8 engine is a very popular thing to do to a late C3 Corvette and should not be frowned upon by the purist. The original power output was certainly not Corvette worthy. This is a great example of a driver quality Corvette that is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner for years to come. The first thing you may think of when you see this classic from Chevrolet is a very unpopular song called 'Little Red Corvette' by a marginally talented musician who sometimes went by the name of 'Prince', but at other times went by a symbol and had a fascination of what happens when you marry the colors red and blue together. As far smooth running, powerful sounding, and easy transition to the higher speeds, this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette with a L48 underneath the hood is everything that you would expect. When we took this vehicle into our inventory everything worked perfectly, except for the interior dome light. Recently replacement work included: New Steering Gear-box, New Interior Door Panels on the Driver and Passenger Door, New Power Window Switches in the Center Console, and New Door/Latch Assemblies in the Driver and Passenger Door. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1974 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne
S O L D

1974 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 57,370 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Sky Blue over White 1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10. The paint has been resprayed and the carpets have been replaced, everything else on the truck is believed to be original to the truck from the day it rolled off the assembly line. The Sky Blue and White exterior paint was professionally applied, we do not know exactly when, but it does look fantastic, and shines beautifully. The blue cloth bench seat has little to no wear, it has been very well kept over the years. The wood grain trim on the door panels and dash also looks almost new and accents the theme very well. A white vinyl bed cover has been installed and provides a great finishing touch to the sky blue and white color combination. This Cheyenne 10 features a small tool box at the bottom of the truck bed where you keep your valuables under lock and key. The odometer reads 57,370, which is believed to be the original mileage on the truck. Options for this 1974 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Air Conditioning (inoperable), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Tilt Wheel, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, Crager Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Chevrolet's third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987 and sported an all new design. Officially known as the "Rounded-Line" generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the "Square Body" design, oddly enough, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. This 74’ C10 would make for a great shop truck for a local business, or a nice cruiser for a collector who has always wanted a 3rd generation Chevrolet pickup. Engine: 351 Cleveland
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 93,908 ( actual )

We are happy to offer this sixth-generation 1973 Ford Ranchero for sale at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom. BACKGROUND: The Ford Ranchero is a coupe utility that was produced by Ford between 1957 and 1979. A total of 508,355 units were produced during the model's production run. The 1973 Ranchero had a redesigned front end to meet new federal standards for front impact protection. Aside from slight cosmetic differences, the Ranchero remained basically the same until the Torino's final year, 1976. (source: Wikipedia) This 1973 Ford Ranchero still has the original 351 Cleveland engine that runs very smoothly and emits very low noise. The transmission also shifts between gears without any effort or oddities. What has been repaired or replaced in recent years is the steering wheel, black and gold leather seats to match the body, floor panel, front windshield, rear sliding window to allow for more air-flow, fresh exhaust manifold, U Joints, pitman arm replaced, and new front grill. If you are thinking about the Ford Ranchero, this is definitely one you should consider. It is ready to drive today and priced to sell now. 2014 Yamaha VMX17

2014 Yamaha VMX17

Engine: 1679cc
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,200 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautiful 2014 Yamaha VMAX. Yamaha got it right when they designed this 1,679cc V4 rocket for the road. They managed to take the same horsepower as a new Honda Civic and cram it between the 2 wheels of this high performance machine. That's 174 horsepower available at the twist of the wrist. Safety wasn't forgotten; this bike comes with adjustable front and rear suspension as well as a slipper clutch and ABS. Power is delivered via a 5 speed transmission and a shaft drive to a massive 200mm rear tire. Brembo brakes with dual disc in the front and single in the rear bring this 683 lb beast to a halt with ease. A 30.5" seat height give a commanding view of the road and the bar height keeps the rider in a good position between sport and touring. Although the 4 gallon tank and large side air intakes make it look top heavy, the center of gravity is kept low to improve handling. This bike is just as comfortable carving the twistys as is it opening up the throttle on a straight stretch of highway. If you're looking for a high horsepower muscle bike that still has nice street manners, this is the machine. With only 860 miles, this bad boy is hardly broken in. You can see this beautiful 2014 Yamaha VMAX in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with any questions.
