Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1LE. The 1995 Camaro Z28 1LE is a no frills SCCA ready track car for the showroom stock racing class that had emerged in Canada. In this showroom stock division the Camaro was able to be refined and became a strong competitor on the streets and a weapon on the track. As GM engineers were examining the 1LE’s shortfalls on the track they continued to improve year by year. The 1LE featured unique front brakes which borrowed the large 12 inch front rotors from the Caprice and utilized a caliper manufactured by PBR in Australia which was also used on the corvette but with modifications to the Camaro spindle was adapted to fit. The Camaro 1LE was not a standard production car and was an option that could only be ordered, very few were ordered and subsequently produced each year. The 1995 model year marked the 8th year the 1LE option was available and only 106 of these were produced. This 1995 example is powered by a LT1 350CI V8 rated at 275hp and backed by a Tremec 6-speed special close ratio manual with a Hurst Shifter. With its upgraded suspension over your standard Z28 Camaro’s this car hugs the curves and carves out a nice line its standard counterpart would have a very difficult time following. It’s said that the Camaro is “ A small vicious animal that eats Mustang.” And this one lives up to its name with its upgraded rear end, paired with the upgraded suspension to transfer its power more effectively than its competitor and the roar from the exhaust as you put the pedal to the floor. This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28/1LE for sale is located in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including a High Def video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. This example is a very clean well-maintained car with under 45000 actual miles. The fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro was produced between 1993-2002 and marked the end of an era. 2001 was the lowest production year for the Camaro with 29,009 units. The Z28 and SS models received the intake manifold from the LS6 Corvette and the slave cylinder for the clutch assembly also was significantly upgraded. Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very clean and tastefully upgraded 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This Z28 has a lot going for it. The car wears a classic Camaro color scheme: white with orange stripes. This was the factory scheme which has been maintained beautifully over the years. It currently wears chrome wheels wrapped in nice radial tires. The interior carries the white scheme with White leather seating with super cool hounds tooth seat inserts. This hounds tooth upholstery reminds one of the early 1960s Camaros that also offered this option. Sticking with the quintessential Camaro theme, this one has a manual transmission. Not the 4 speed the early cars would've come with, this '97 has a hearty 6 speed manual which has been nicely upgraded with a Hurst short throw shifter. The power plant is a 5.7 Liter LT1 which has also be slightly upgraded. The improve flow, a cold air intake, a high flow throttle body, SLP headers, and a Hooker mufflers have been added. This also beefs up the sound so you can really hear that LT1. This is a very well maintained Camaro with no accident history and a clean vehicle history report. This could be a car for car shows, to drive daily, or heck, the drag strip if you wanted to. This 3rd generation Camaro convertible has been tastefully modified and is ready to hit the road in style! With just around 10,000 on a rebuilt drive train that has been upgraded to a 350 cubic inch GM Performance crate engine rated at 350HP and 380 ft./lbs. of torque and a TCI Street Fighter 700R4 transmission. Putting the power to the ground is a built up rear end that has had an Eaton posi-trac installed with 3.42:1 gears an dis held in place with a set of billet control arms and a Pro panhard rod. Cosmetically the IROC-Z received a new grill, body covered ground effects, and the iconic IROC-Z decals on each door. New for the 1985 Camaro was an upgraded 7 5/8 inch rear end from the 7.5 inch rear end of previous years. The IROC package included a G92 performance axle as well.
