Gateway Classic Cars offers this legend, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302! Debuted as a direct shot to Chevy’s Z28, the Boss 302 was one of the two special Mustang models built for homologation purposes in 1969. Alongside its counterpart, the 429, the Boss models ushered in a new age of performance and continue to represent an age of muscle car perfection. The Mustang underwent a facelift for the 1970 model year including the elimination of the outboard headlights and a sportsroof with rear fender scoops. A more refined Boss 302 rolled out this year with distinctive stripes and familiar Magnum 500 wheels. This 1970 Boss 302 features these unique options and so much more including rear louvers, rear wing and sporty front chin spoiler! Wearing subtle Wimbledon White paint and paired with a blue vinyl interior, this Mustang is unique in that only 10 were made in this combination! Climb inside and take a seat in the buckets and take note of the tasteful gauges and Hurst® shifter linked to the four-speed manual transmission! Powering this pony is the number-matching rebuilt 302 CID V8 engine that rumbles with authority! Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this 1970 Ford Mustang coupe for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This immaculate pony car has been customized from top to bottom starting with painting the classic lines a medium silver and accenting it with tastefully applied gloss black stripes. The black leather interior contrasts nicely with the silver/black body. The argent-colored wheels are from a late-model Mustang but they appear right at home on this awesome coupe. The bigger wheels and the lowered stance fill the wheelwells much better than Ford designers ever intended. Under the hood, a fully detailed compartment houses a 302 CID V8 featuring an aluminum intake, Holley carb., and headers into true dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds just like you'd expect it to! With air conditioning, the cooling system needed beefing up from stock, so a heavy-duty aluminum radiator now handles the task of keeping this '70 Mustang running at the right temperature. This classic American icon is turn-key and ready to go so that all the new owner has to do is get in and drive it. If you're a classic Mustang fan, you'll love this sexy pony car. Don't miss this beautiful 1970 Ford Mustang coupe for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. Now available in our DFW Showroom is this 1972 Ford Mustang. The 1972 Ford Mustangs changed very little from the 1971 models, except the Boss 351 did not return for a second year. Outside of red/white and blue color schemes, the only obvious difference was the Mustang name on the rear was now smaller and on the right side, instead of across the center. This 1972 Mustang began life as a Grande version, but has been converted over time. It is powered by a strong number’s matching 351 Cleveland with an FMX Auto transmission. The engine has been rebuilt, which the owner added a new intake and carburetor at this time. It has only approximately 2,500 miles since the rebuild. Other things updated by the owner include: Petronics electronic ignition installed with a new grab a track front suspension kit and steering kit. Also new is the following: -brake lines, rotors, calipers-on front, drum-lines, headliner, carpet, dash-pads, deluxe door panels, shock absorbers, classic air conditioning system, radiator, belt, hoses, chrome-front and rear bumpers, windshield trim, mustang badges, door weather stripping & trunk seal. With all that being done, this vehicle is ready to hit the road and take someone for an awesome cruise. Will that be you? In the market for a fully restored classic short bed pickup truck? You definitely need to take a closer look at this very well done 1971 Ford F-100! Starting off its life here in Colorado this truck was loved and cared for over many years, and once the current owner got their hands on it, this truck received a complete frame-off restoration. The concept was to build a truck that would be able to do both long cruises while not becoming a boring daily driver. The drivetrain chosen for this truck was a stroked 351 Windsor that dyno’d around 450 horsepower and 500 ft/lbs. of torque! This powerhouse of an engine would surely be plenty to get this truck going in a hurry so to not lose the drivability that was desired, it was backed up by a Keisler 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch giving you an overdrive gear and keeping the fun factor at an all time high. What good is all of this power though if the rear end of the truck cannot handle it? To make sure this wouldn’t be an issue the strong Ford 9” rear end was equipped with Moser 31-spline axles and a true track locking differential. This drivetrain overall will hold up well to the power that is being put out by the engine without sacrificing any reliability. Helping the truck to handle as well as they’d hope, the front end had a Rod & Custom Mustang II front suspension put underneath and the rear of the truck was lowered to give it that great rake. Power rack and pinion steering and power brakes allow excellent control of the truck and make it simple to take on long cruises. Also adding to the comfort is a set of modern F-150 bucket seats and a center council that not only fit great, but also are extraordinarily comfortable to ride in. The aftermarket AM/FM radio in the truck will allow you to listen to your favorite tunes throughout your drive. The body and paint on this truck are also very well done with a gorgeous blue paint that was laid over the top of the cleaned up body. All of the side moldings removed, seams welded and flushed, and the locking tailgate flushed really add to the clean look of this F-100. If you are looking for a truck that is going to be a great mix of performance and drivability, this is an excellent option!

This beautiful Mustang has been repainted in correct factory Bright Red (color code 3) and looks great. Inside the rare optioned red vermillion vinyl interior with cloth inserts that really sets this Boss apart from the others of this vintage. The black carpet, black center console and black dash are a nice contrast; it really sets off the bright red seats. Under the hood is the 330 hp 351 Boss (code R) and is part of the drag pack option which included manual 4-speed with Hurst Shifter and 3.91 traction lok differential. The 351 Boss engine has been rebuilt and balanced, so there will be no need for rebuilding of this car for quite some time. The engine looks just as it would on the showroom floor in 1971 with the proper info decals on the valve covers and the fenders. In many instances, its the small details that are overlooked, but not with this gem. As a matter of fact as long as it is taken care and maintained properly, it will be ready to for the next generation of collectors. The owner has a packet of literature to go with this Boss that validates its authenticity and increases the collectability as the years go by. Recent purchase prices at auctions indicate these are steadily on the rise in value. The Boss is also equipped the competition suspension and will put the Firestone F60-15’s to their limits. As for bragging rights, the Boss 351 is considered to be faster than the 429 equipped Mach I of the same year. The Boss 351 jumped from a standing start to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 13.6 seconds. In a Motor Trend test from 1971, the bigger cube 429 CJ accelerated from 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 14.7 seconds. The Boss 351 is also the rarest of the 71 Mustangs with only 1806 produced. Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. You can see this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
