Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this cool 1940 Ford Coupe for sale. Between the attention-grabbing paint job and the relatively modern powertrain, this car is sure to be a fun toy for the new owner. Under the hood of this beauty is a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine that has been rebuilt roughly 1,900 miles ago. When driving the car, one can tell that this engine is fresh thanks to the abundance of power and a strong, smooth pull all throughout the rev range. The engine is kept cool thanks to a Walker radiator. Also, the car is equipped with Sanderson headers to provide a mean sound. Sending the power to the rear end is a turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. The rear end in this sweet ride is a curry 9" that is geared just right to provide the car with a good balance of acceleration and top end. The handling of this beauty is greatly enhanced by the front end sourced from a Mustang II. Helping bring the car to a brisk stop are power disc brakes at all four corners. Overall, this car drives like a relatively modern car and is very fun. Upon entering the cabin of the vehicle, the driver will notice the completely redone tan leather interior. The seats are very comfortable and provide much more support than the original style seats would have. This car also is equipped with comfort features such as power windows, heat, air conditioning, heated seats, and a custom radio and sound system. The trunk of the car has also been done in the tan leather theme of the interior and looks great. Adding to the cool features of this car is the fact that the trunk lid is power and comes up with the push of a button! Overal, the interior of this beauty was very well thought out and is comfortable. Moving outward, the exterior features a bright yellow basecoat with flames painted running from front to rear. The paint is in pretty good shape and would really come alive with a proper detailing and waxing. supporting each corner of the vehicle are american racing rally wheels wrapped in almost new BFG radial tires. For sale in our Nashville showroom is one smoking hot 1946 Ford Coupe. When this car hit the market in 1946 it was the best of both worlds, a little sporty, but could seat the whole family, however it wasn’t going to outrun the law. Up until the late 1990’s the original owner had this car which over time turned into any moonshiner’s dream. The car was hopped up with a strong V8 small block Chevrolet backed by a turbo-350 transmission this is a peppy little car that would have had an easy time out running Johnny law in the early 1950’s. The suspension has been beefed up with aftermarket shocks, and the interior was swapped out with something a little newer. Wearing hot rod red, there wouldn’t be much blending in so fast was the way they’d get the job done. Slide behind the steering wheel and you can see for yourself a view not too dissimilar than that of the moonshiners that participated in the very first NASCAR races in 1948. Now… did this car ever make a shine run? Maybe, maybe not… but who’s to say? Options include:AM/FM, Cassette, wire wheels, Power steering, Power Brakes, Cloth custom interior, and Radial Tires. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an all steel 1946 Ford Coupe. This is a rarely seen Ford street rod due to the fact that it is powered by, you guessed it, a Ford drivetrain. A 302 CID V8 engine provides the horsepower for this 46’ Coupe and features an Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum intake, Summit HEI distributor, Billet Pulleys, chrome valve covers, and dual fuel pumps (Summit mechanical and a Holley electric). An aluminum radiator and 16” electric fan work together to keep this Ford powered street rod cool on hot days. A C4 automatic transmission transfers the power to the Ford 8” rear end. The Light Chestnut exterior paint is a PPG product and shows very well. The dark red pinstripe matches the cranberry accents in the interior to a T. The tan cloth interior is as clean as you will find. The tweed seats, panels, and headliner show little to no wear, and look excellent. The odometer reads 30,109, which represents the mileage put on the car since the restoration was complete. Options for this 1946 Ford Coupe include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and American Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Engine: 298 V6Transmission: 4-Speed AutoMileage: 32999 ( undocumented )
We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.
