This 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Karman ghia was a 2+2 promoted as a sports car with a coupe and convertible model manufactured until 1974. Based on the classic Type 1 beetle chassis with styling by Italian designer Luigi Segre of the Italian carrozzeria Ghia and hand built bodies by coachbuilder Karmann. It would go on to be a world-wide success with close to half a million cars built over its life spanning over 3 decades. This Karman Ghia has gone through a complete customization from the paint to the interior giving this rear engine drop top a one-off look. The green paint is slick and guaranteed to stand out in a crowd. The tan top goes extremely well with the overall scheme giving a great contrast to the paint. Under the hood is a 1776 CC engine that puts out a good bit of power over the stock motor. The 4-speed transmission shifts out nicely with the custom handle adding a nice touch to the interior. The tan leather buckets upfront are lot more comfortable with more side bolster to keep you firmly planted in the seat. The upgraded custom sound system is sure to grab a ton of attention. Underneath of this beauty shows the attention to detail given when the car was built as it as clean as the body. With only what is believed to be only 1356 miles on the build this little VW drop top is sure to have plenty of trophies to win in its future. Options on this 1974 Karman GHIA include, AM/FM/CD, Leather Interior, Manual Convertible Top, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. For more details on this 1974 Volkswagen Karman Ghia Convertible please call our Louisville Showroom at 812-294-1555, or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com.
