This extremely clean 1950 Ford Custom is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Ford custom club coupe debuted in 1948 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City as a 49 model. The new integrated steel construction was advertised a lifeguard body with even the woody wagon was steel. The styling for the 50 model is very similar with the classic “bullet” in the chrome grill. This 50 is a remarkable example of what these cars were right off the assembly line. Owned by the same person for 35 years before being bought by the current owner this Custom Deluxe was used only as a show car. The black paint is slick and shows off the remarkable body lines that these beauties are known for. The chrome trim is in just as good of condition giving the car a remarkable finished look. The Ford crest is displayed proudly in the middle of the hood which was the first of its kind but would live on for decades to come. The dog dish hubcaps really put the exclamation point on the exterior while tying it all together the original flathead engine is still resting between the frame rails and with the addition of an electric fuel pump she will start right up every time. With the cooling system completely gone through including the addition of an aluminum radiator this flathead is ready for cruising stop light to stop light without a hiccup. The interior has been taken great care of and is as comfortable as your favorite lazy boy. You will however have the pleasure of shifting through the gears via the 3 on the tree set up. If you have been looking for a very original Ford that has not been all cut up or full of bad repairs this all steel beauty is the car for you.
