This 1940 Dodge Sedan is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1940 was a year for rejoice in America, with the economy picking up we were making our way back from the great depression. Batman’s sidekick Robin makes his great debut and the original McDonalds opened. Cars were more luxurious than ever and Dodge was leading the way in this market. This 1940 has taken the luxury side of things to a whole new level. Start with the most obvious upgrade which is the interior. Finished in ultra-plush tan leather, comfortable is an understatement. With nice touches, such as cup holders hidden in the armrest and power adjustability this beauty is car cruise worthy. The original dash keeps it old and is a nice twist especially with the period correct steering wheel. Under the hood is a flathead 6 cylinder which runs extremely well while the HEI ignition allows for easy starts. The period correct 3 on the tree transmission adds to the nostalgia of this cool old Dodge. Converted to a 12-volt system there is plenty of power to handle the upgraded lighting system. Even the wipers have been upgraded to electrical ones ensuring worry free operation. An ECI front disc conversion with the addition of a dual master cylinder gives this beauty great stopping power. The modern Radial tires are a great touch while the wide white walls keep with the old-school look. The baby moon caps finish them off and give the car a great overall look. With the chrome and stainless all in good condition this will make for a great addition to any collection. Or if you want an old car that can be driven in style and comfort this one will be hard to beat. Options on this 1940 Dodge Sedan include, Leather Interior, Wide White Walls, Hub Caps, and Radial Tires.
