For sale in our Dallas showroom is a 1955 Chevrolet Belair that is truly a show piece ready for its new owner. This stunning Bel Air just got done with a 3 year frame off resto mod. The current trend towards resto modding a vehicle has definitely accelerated over the last years but even with all of the aftermarket support and high tech goodies available to the current resto mod builder, there usually seems to be something skimped on or could have been done better. The case of this Belair is in a completely different league with no expense spared and a discerning attention to detail that can only be found in builds of this expense and stature. Starting with the skin and working our way deeper this first year Tri Five’s main tint is House of Kolor Black Cherry Candy, while the secondary being Pearl White which is absolutely stunning in our studio lights and will almost blind you in the sun. All of the chrome has been redone along with the front and rear bumpers being replaced with fresh units. The interior was the last stage of the build to be completed and at a tab of over $9k it shows. The seats, door panels, console, and shifter boot are all real genuine top hide leather. By no expense spared we mean no expense spared, the owner even saw through to having the side bolsters and back of the seats in leather as well instead of vinyl. The interior work was done very clean and the stitching is almost laser precise between the titanium gray and off white seat panels. The interior amenities are incredible with an awesome set of gauges from VHX, Vintage air, power windows with wing window delete, pioneer audio system, and power seats. Under the hood of this smooth cruiser is a brand new GM crate ZZ383 Stroker engine, backed with a Tremec TKO600 5spd with a 11” hydraulic clutch. Piping some more mechanical tunes to you is the Hooker full length tube headers running into a 2.5” Flowmaster equipped custom bent exhaust setup. Power transfer is taken care of via a Ford 9” that has been treated to a powder coating, Detroit locker true trac with 3:50 gearing. As mentioned this Bel Air was taken down to the frame, then it was hit with POR15 to prevent future rust. The front suspension has been upgraded with tubular A arms that have a 1 1/2 “drop and vented slotted discs in the front and the rear. Ididit provided the power steering for this build and comes attached to a top notch close ratio steering box. Tying this future show winner together is a set of custom Cloys 5 star 17” rims with 235/42 Nanking NS-1’s in the front and 255/45 NS1’1 in the back for a seriously stanced look.
