For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This 1970 Mach 1 for sale in covered in iconic Grabber orange with black rally stripe and looks like it just drove out of the showroom for the first time. With the speed of sound being around 761 miles per hour and this speed being designated Mach1, Ford produced Mustangs with this title to let you know just how fast it was. Sitting between the front shock towers is the small block Ford that a lot of big blocks chased back then. The 351 Windsor and sitting on top of this power plant is an Edlebrock® performer 351-w intake with one of Vic’s own Carburetors. This of course provides plenty of power to blister the poor rear tires on this incredible pony car. Bolted to the back of this Engine is a 4-speed manual transmission giving the driver more control of just how long the rear tires last and of course how much smoke he put in the face of the Challenger behind him. The rear axle housing is Fords finest, a 9 inch that houses a 3.50 gear set. Maybe this should be a Mach2? With all this go, there must be enough whoa to go around so, power disc on every corner provide all you will need. Open the driver’s door and slide in to the control seat, let your left foot get used to the throw on the clutch, while your right finds the limit of the loud pedal. While getting used to the controls, take a look around at the like new high-backed bucket seats, center console, dash, carpet and head liner and try to remember that it is 2018 and not 1971. While sitting behind the wheel just try to not run through the gears and imagine the wild ride you could give this car, heck you would make Ken Block want to watch your you tube video. The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1970 Ford Mach 1. The Mach 1 package was only available in the 'SportsRoof' body style (previously known as the 'Fastback'); never on the hardtop or convertible. Many resto-mod visual conversions have since been performed by owners and enthusiasts, but are not Mach 1's by VIN code. The Mach 1 started with V8 powered 'Sportsroof' body and added numerous visual and performance enhancing items such as matte black hood treatment with hood pins, hood scoop (including optional Shaker scoop), competition suspension, chrome pop-open gas cap, revised wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires, chrome exhaust tips (except 351W 2V), deluxe interior, livery and dealer optional chin spoiler, rear deck spoiler, and rear window louvers (SportSlats). Mach 1s came with upgraded suspension to varying degrees dependent upon powertrain choices. Big block cars had front shock tower reinforcement, thicker sway bars (no rear bar for 69), and heavier springs and shocks. 428 CJ/SCJ 4 speed cars also came with staggered rear shocks. Standard on Mach 1s was a fierce but cosmetic hood scoop that had integrated turn-signal lights mounted in the back. A more functional option was the signature "Shaker hood", an air scoop mounted directly to the top of the motor, used to collect fresh air and so named for its tendency to "shake" above the rumbling V-8 below. The interior came complete with teak wood grain details, full sound deadening material and high-back sport bucket seats. Ford kept the Mach 1 alive into 1970 and little changed other than the visuals. The 1970 body included dual-beam headlights with the previous inner headlights becoming sport lamps and recessed taillights on a black honeycomb rear panel, side scoops behind both doors removed, revised bucket seats, deep dish sports wheel covers, as well as new side and rear badging and striping were the main visual differences. 1970 saw the previous 351W V8 engine options replaced with a new 351 cu in (5.8 L) Cleveland (351C) V8 in either 2V (for use with 2-venturi carbs) or 4V (for use with 4-venturi carbs) versions. The 351C 4V (M code) engine featured 11.0:1 compression and produced 300 bhp (224 kW; 304 PS) at 5400 rpm. This new performance engine incorporated elements learned from the Ford 385 series engine and the Boss 302, particularly the poly-angle combustion chambers with canted valves and the thin-wall casting technology. Outside of red/white and blue color schemes, the only obvious difference was the Mustang name on the rear was now smaller and on the right side, instead of across the center. This 1972 Mustang began life as a Grande version, but has been converted over time. It is powered by a strong number’s matching 351 Cleveland with an FMX Auto transmission. The engine has been rebuilt, which the owner added a new intake and carburetor at this time. It has only approximately 2,500 miles since the rebuild. Other things updated by the owner include: Petronics electronic ignition installed with a new grab a track front suspension kit and steering kit. This is one of 1,806 ordered with this engine and transmission according to the Marti Report. This 71’ Mustang Sportsroof is finished in the original shade of Grabber Yellow paint that features black accents throughout. The black vinyl interior matches the theme of the car beautifully. Adding to the classic look are the raised white letter bias ply tires. This Mustang was also ordered with a convenience group, which included power windows and power locks, and was one of 1,934 ordered with that option package. The car has been rebuilt from stem to stern including the 351 Cleveland V8. Behind the 351 is a desirable 4 speed top loader transmission and a 9” rear end with Trac Lok and 3.25 gears. The suspension has been rebuilt as well including lowering the front end 1”. With this new stance, and an awesome set of custom wheels and tires, the Mustang has a killer look. The exterior is coated in silver with a painted black stripe to really make it pop. The black convertible top is new and is power actuated. In addition, the interior has been updated with some slick custom upholstery from TMI. These sporty seats would look at home in a Ferrari or high-end custom, so they really dress up the interior in this Mustang. This car has just enough flare to really look great, without being too over the top custom that you’d be afraid to drive it. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. Upon the birth of the Mustang in 1964, the American working class was finally offered an affordable entry into the world of hobbyist vehicles. Upon decoding the VIN and doorplate, we learn that this Mustang was birthed in the Dearborn, MI plant, before being DSO’d to Lansing, MI. The car has undergone a loving restoration in the past, but has managed to retain its originality in terms of powerplant, Rangoon Red exterior, and interior color. This Pony is a “C-Code car”, meaning that she was optioned with a 289 CID 2V V8 with a matching C4 automatic from the factory, as well as a power top, power steering, and power brakes, making this Mustang extremely approachable in terms of ownership. All too often, these pony cars were sent out the door with a 170 or 200 CID inline 6 cylinder. This C-Code Stang, however, supplies the driver with steadfast confidence in the car’s ability to move comfortably up steep inclines with minimal throttle. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is ecstatic to offer this 1934 Ford 3-window Coupe. No expense was spared in the production of this modernized, builder-owned hot rod. Lovingly assembled and maintained, every receipt for this 3-window build was saved and documented during the process, guaranteeing the car’s value for years to come. This ’34 is rocking a powdercoated Pete & Jake’s chassis, pinched in the front, and bobbed in the rear to give this custom a truly sinister stance. A Redneck Street Rods ’34 fiberglass body sits upon the frame with a professional 5” channeling and a 2 5/8” chop. Redneck produces the finest bodies in the street rodding business, and is the go-to body for builders across the globe due to its superior manufacturing. The coupe is finished in DuPont Black Pearl with several coats of DuPont clear. Upon further inspection, you will find a very subtle Blue Pearl, Orange Pearl and Red Pearl ghost flame striking down the front of the hood. In respect to drivability, the coupe has been outfitted with Aldan coilovers on all four corners, Wilwood brakes, and a Currie Ford 9” rear end. The powerplant is hosted by a SBC 350 Edelbrock crate motor pushing 450hp to the crank, paired to a 4L60E Bowler transmission with a Lokar floor shifter and Inland Empire polished aluminum driveshaft. The customization continues with staggered 18” and 20” Colorado Customs wheels, Colorado Customs steering wheel, Classic gauges, pushbutton start, custom stereo/CD player, fully customized leather interior, and Vintage Air air conditioning.
